Despite Marvel traditions and rumors.
Ahead of Marvel‘s next big and highly-anticipated release, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer, Nate Moore, recently confirmed that the movie will not feature any end credits scenes. Traditionally, Marvel keeps audiences inside the theaters until the last second of the end credits as it drops its Easter Eggs and hints at upcoming superhero titles. As the upcoming film wraps up the fourth phase of the MCU, fans would naturally be eager to know any hints for Phase Five.
In a recent interview with Collider, Moore told the publication that they never planned to include any post-credits scenes for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever despite the rumors. He acknowledged that he knows of these rumors and even gave a very specific reason stating just why fans should not expect any post-credit scenes,
“I’ve heard those rumors, too. No, I think the subject matter of the film was such that it didn’t feel appropriate to have, then, a stinger. Much like [Avengers:] Endgame felt like an emotional experience that you also didn’t need a stinger at the end of this. This felt like we just wanted to tell the story as it was conceived without an added bonus. So, unfortunately, there isn’t an end credits [scene].”
So far, early reviews of the film have confirmed the emotional plotline. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
