Limited to a meager 333 pairs.
Strong efforts on behalf of adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -0.55%) to push the Forum ‘84 over the past year have not gone unnoticed. And after the retro basketball silhouette appeared in Beyonce’s latest IVY PARK x adidas “ICY PARK” campaign, it has made its way back onto our radar in the form of an extremely-limited “Friends and Family” collaboration with Bodega.
While the presentation of this exclusive pair is heavily dependent on neutral tones, the iteration’s accents are what undeniably contribute to its spirit. Smoothened-out suede materials hug the ankle collar paneling, tongue backgrounds and lateral Three Stripe logos, all of which are identically-dressed in a crisp royal blue, while bold red accents appear on the Trefoil insignias, strap’s hardware and first set of eyelets. Medial side stripes deviate from the lateral and come ornamented with cheetah graphics, and a tiny touch of green adorns the middle of the throat. Furthermore, the Boston-based imprint’s moniker is skewed to the lateral heel in gold, and the owner’s individual number out of 333 lands on the opposite side.
Bottommost areas are forged with silver-y molds, simple white midsoles and outsoles tinted with gum outers.
Given that the streetwear retailer recently constructed a F&F Dunk High variation with Nike, this could be an ongoing trend that we see from Bodega.
