Reebok Is Building a New Legacy for the Club C

The updated sneaker arrives in a variety of colorways alongside a “Classic Collaborators” campaign.

2021 has seen sneaker brands revisit their past, and for the first time since its debut in 1985, we see Reebok rework the iconic Club C silhouette.

Straying from completely altering the sneaker, Reebok stays true to its rich tennis heritage by sticking to the original foundations of the classic pair, championing a retro aesthetic. Aptly renamed the Club C Legacy, slight modifications have been applied all around. For example, the translucent EVA midsole adds to its visual allure, while the unveiling of five colorways appeals to everyone’s taste. Splashes of orange, baby blue, royal blue, green, and chalk modernize its classic leather upper and premium suede overlays.

The sneakers form part of the “Write Your Legacy” platform to encourage consumers to delve into their own legacy by channeling inspiration from their environment. The brand aims to showcase the importance of finding a perfect work-life balance and taking time out to concentrate on your wellbeing, especially given the current climate. For the Club C Legacy campaign, Reebok has tapped three creatives known as “Classic Collaborators” including Dan D’LionAWA, and Ego Ella May to share their personal experiences of finding the calm within the chaos to focus on building their legacy.

Introductory colorways of Reebok’s Club C Legacy have already been launched with the full collection set to release on February 17 via the brand’s website and retail for £75 GBP (approximately $104 USD).
